The holiday season is finally upon us! The air is crisper, with a palpable cheer and anticipation. Beyond all the presents, hearty meals and twinkling lights is a time of reflection and joy.
Residents and staff at Wesley Place on Honeysuckle have so much to be thankful for and to celebrate this holiday season, from events in their own lives to the renovations and rebranding on campus. To help usher in this festive season, decorations are being put up around campus and events are scheduled to bring merriment to all throughout the community.
To inspire holiday cheer, children from nearby Cloverdale Elementary School visited residents and sang Christmas carols. The children also played the role of Santa Claus by delivering beautifully wrapped boxes of gifts for the Life Enrichment department to use for bingo prizes.
Our newest addition to the community, The Rehab Inn, is getting into the holiday spirit as well, with guests helping to prepare and enjoy meals together. A beautiful Christmas tree adorns the shared living and dining area where guests sometimes enjoy a cup of wassail, a staple beverage of the holidays, by the fireplace.
All month long there will be holiday events, complete with carols and festive snacks to create a jolly atmosphere for the community to enjoy. Transportation to and from worship services will also be available to help residents celebrate this holy time.
The holiday season is one of the best times of the year for coming together and celebrating the simple joys in our lives. At Wesley Place on Honeysuckle, we hope to spread a little extra happiness to our residents, their families, our staff, prospective residents and the greater Dothan community with some decorations, well wishes and events.
