Wesley Manor has made many changes this past year to renew, refresh and restore the exceptional services it provides to the Dothan community, including a renovation, a name change, and a new logo. Starting in October, Wesley Manor will now be known as Wesley Place on Honeysuckle, and feature a beautiful, bright new logo.
As part of Wesley Place on Honeysuckle’s renovation and expansion, the community will be opening a newly constructed rehabilitation center, The Rehab Inn. Unlike other rehabilitation centers, The Rehab Inn will host a revolutionary new model that is changing the way people look at how rehab services are provided. Rather than being treated as a patient, people will be treated as guests.
“It will be similar to going to a hotel. We have concierge service and you’ll be taken to your suite, have hospitality type amenities, and be in a home-like environment,” says Jeff Kirby, Administrator at Wesley Place on Honeysuckle.
The Rehab Inn will also feature the Household Model, a new model of care that mimics daily life at home. In the Household Model, private suites are attached to a shared kitchen and living area. Recovering in a home-like environment better prepares guests to return to their own homes, and can reduce the chance of readmission to a hospital. Hospitality and health care staff members are available in the household 24 hours a day to assist with anything guests may need, from health care questions to preparing meals.
“It will bring a new dimension to rehabilitation that is less clinical and more comparative to being in your home,” adds Jeff, “while still providing exceptional 24-hour a day attention that is needed during your recovery.”
The new gym will be equipped with brand new, modern exercise machines and equipment so you can be sure that you have access to the best support to nurture your recovery.
The Rehab Inn is expected to open in November, and will certainly change the larger Dothan community for the better.
“We’ll now be able to provide a state-of-the-art recovery center, with a model of care unlike any other in the Dothan area,” says Christopher Tomlin, CEO of Methodist Homes, the parent organization of Wesley Place on Honeysuckle. “We’re really filling a need in our greater community for advanced services. If you haven’t visited the campus recently, I encourage you to come see the changes we’ve brought to the seniors of Dothan.”
